(NBC 6 MIAMI) More than a dozen children were being treated for an unknown illness they suffered at a Lauderhill school Monday, officials said.
The children became sick at Ave Marie Friends Preparatory School at 5801 Northwest 19th Street.
Lauderhill Fire Rescue officials said at least 20 children were sick and were taken to the hospital. Officials initially said 14 students became ill.
Officials said the students were complaining of nausea and were vomiting.
No other information was immediately known.
