(SNN, NBC NEWSCHANNEL) Employees at a Sarasota Publix are being credited with saving a customer's life.
Janet Guttridge collapsed last week while grocery shopping.
A customer service staff member rushed to Janet's side, checking her pulse after he saw blood all over the floor.
Then Publix pharmacy technician Sarah Fountain confirmed the woman wasn't breathing and started CPR.
Within moments, the grocery manager brought over an automatic emergency defibrillator and, with the help of a customer and the pharmacy tech, started the device. They were able to resuscitate the woman.
Her husband says she's doing as well as can be expected and wants to see the Publix employees to express her appreciation.
