Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office confirmed Monday during a press conference the remains of Jacksonville toddler Lonzie Barton have been found.
The human remains were found during a search in a wooded area on the city's southside.
Lonzie was in the care of his mother's boyfriend, William Ruben Ebron Jr., last summer when he disappeared. He was reported to have been abducted at the time.
The boy’s mother and Ebron were arrested on charges of child neglect and giving false information to police connected to the disappearance, the Times Union reported.
Lonzie was missing since July 24, 2015.
