GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say a Florida rapper threatened to shoot up a University of Florida football game and possibly commit violence at a nightclub.
The Gainesville Sun reports that 26-year-old Christopher Maurice McCallum was arrested Tuesday and charged with threatening a mass shooting.
The Alachua County Sheriff's Office says McCallum posted a rap on Facebook about a feud with another rapper and several Gainesville men. The song alludes to a concert the next night by Keyanta Bullard, known as Yungeen Ace, at a club called Eight Seconds. Officials say McCallum also raps he will "catch you at a Gator game and shoot the whole campus up."
No violence occurred that could be connected to the rap.
McCallum was being held on $50,000 bond. Jail records didn't list an attorney.
