TAMPA, Fla. (WFTS) -- It appears COVID-19 will no longer slow President Donald Trump's campaign trail.

President Trump's campaign team announced the president will hold a rally in Sanford on Monday, 7 p.m. ET. The announcement comes just hours after President Trump told FOX News' Sean Hannity that he wanted to hold a rally in Florida on Saturday.

President Trump's push for a rally comes just days after he was hospitalized for coronavirus. The 74-year-old publicly announced his positive test result late last week and was receiving care at Walter Reed hospital before being released Monday evening.
