OCALA, Fla.-- So how could a patient be left in an examination room so long that the doctor and staff forgets about the patient, locks up the office and goes home?

Kendra Richardson says it happened it her. And this is her story:

Kendra who is pregnant and due this month says recently she had a doctor's appointment at the All About Women OB/GYN Clinic in Ocala. Kendra says although her appointment was at three she didn't see the doctor till hours later.

"He gave me a paper gown and he said I'll be back to check you. So, I'm undressed waiting for him to come back."

But Kendra says the doctor never came back. Nor did anyone else. And at 6:00 closing time she found herself alone in the doctor's office forgotten and scared.

After she got over the shock, Kendra shot video of her wandering the hallway, lights off, receptionist gone and door locked. "I mean I took the video because people are not going to believe me," she said.

"How could you forget somebody and you're running a professional business and, you know, your sign says 'All About Women' but you left me behind?" Richardson said.

Kendra called 911. With the help of a person in a connecting office the police officer were able to get into the doctor's office through an adjacent suite. "And, I was just scared I was like 'OK don't panic' because I can't panic at this moment, that's something I can't do. Oh, I really thought it was a joke."

The folks with the doctor's office said they are trying to get to the bottom of how their patient was forgotten.
