According to representatives at Port Everglades, Sunday was a world-record setting day.
Eight cruise ships were docked at the port and more than 54,700 cruise passengers were processed, breaking a record set just three months ago.
Port Everglades set a similar record on Dec. 20, 2015 when they processed 53,485 passengers.
Before December, the port set a record on March 20, 2010 with 53,365 guests in one day.
