ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — St. Pete police are investigating after a 5-year-old boy was shot and killed.
Police said at 2:27 p.m. on Saturday, they received a call concerning a child shot at 3738 18th Terr. S.
When officers arrived, they found a 5-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to All Children's Hospital and died from his injuries.
Police say that preliminary information is that the child accidentally shot himself.
Investigators are looking into more information on the incident.
