(WESH/NBC) - Security camera video in Orlando shows a man frantically try to save his car from being stolen at a Central Florida convenience store.
Video shows the owner desperately jump onto the hood, trying to hang on as the suspect takes off.
The theft then led to a police chase.
Police said the car thief later lost control of the vehicle about a half mile away, crashing into a church full of children preparing for Bible study.
The thief got away.
No one in the church was hurt, and the owner of the car suffered minor injuries.
