One person drowned and another was hospitalized Friday morning following an incident in Deerfield Beach.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office and Broward Fire Rescue were called to the Intracoastal Waterway, just north of East Hillsboro Boulevard, around 8:40 a.m.
Two people were reported in the water.
Rescuers found one person who was transported to a hospital.
Following a search, divers found a second person who was deceased.
