Zoo Miami gave its 7-year-old Queensland Koala quite a health exam this week!

Zoo officials said Milo the koala had x-rays taken, a comprehensive CT scan, his eyes examined, and his blood and urine collected on Wednesday.

Veterinarians did this, not just for a general wellness exam, but because Milo is getting a new friend!

3-year-old Rinny arrived at Zoo Miami from the Riverbanks Zoo in South Carolina, and will soon share an enclosure with Milo.

Doctors said Milo is in excellent health and can look forward to being introduced to Rinny in the next several weeks.

Zoo Miami said the goal is for them to get along, and hopefully make a baby one day!
