A 19-year-old woman is in a medically-induced coma after she was shot in the head during a road-rage incident in Miami, family told WTVJ-TV.

Alyssa Sanchez, identified by her brother, was riding in her boyfriend's car early Monday morning when someone in another car fired shots, according to the victim's brother Lazaro Sanchez.

Miami police said they found a white Cadillac riddled with bullets on Southwest 14th Street and 27th Avenue.

Detectives have not identified the shooters, but family said Sanchez was shot in the head when her boyfriend got into an argument with strangers in another vehicle.

Sanchez was the only person hit in the incident. Her boyfriend drove her to Jackson Memorial Hospital after the shooting, police said.

Her brother, Lazaro, said the 19-year-old is in critical condition.

The shooter or shooters are still on the loose. Anyone with information is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
