Authorities on the west coast of Florida received multiple reports of a bright flash in the western sky late Monday night.
An officer with the Venice Police Department caught the fireball on camera.
The flash is believed to a meteor entering the Earth’s atmosphere.
Venice police officer Seth Kenny's cruiser recorded the footage around 11:17 p.m.
Residents in the cities of Largo and North Port also reported seeing the meteor streak across the sky on Monday.
There have been no reports of damage.
