SEBRING, Fla.-- Thursday marks one yearsince five women were shot and killed inside a SunTrust bank in Sebring.
The city dedicated a memorial to those victims Thursday morning.
The bank was torn down following the tragedy and officials built a park on the site.
The mayor says there are five palm trees, five benches and a pentagon in the center.
"I've been so inspired by the strength through tragedy and I personally am committed to live the promise that I'll have every day with more humility, every day I will have more hope and every day I'll have more love," said Bill Rogers, Jr. with SunTrust bank.
A SunTrust representative says the shooting forever changed the company.
