Miami-Dade Police took a man into custody inside Miami International Airport after saying he was creating a disturbance Wednesday afternoon.
Officers say the man showed up inside Concourse D check-in area and began making threatening remarks about the airport shortly after 12:30 p.m. He was quickly detained and placed under arrest by officers at the scene.
Airport officials tweeted that the incident was under control.
Officials have not released the man's identity, however, they are advising travelers to allow additional time if they are driving to MIA due to police activity.
