MIAMI (AP) — Authorities have located a 1-year-old boy and his mother after issuing a statewide Amber Alert for the two.

Miami police spokeswoman Frederica Burden tells media outlets that the boy was found safe in Laredo, Texas, on Sunday.

His mother, 29-year-old Leydibet Hernandez, is in custody and awaiting extradition to Miami. Police issued the alert Sunday morning for the two who were last seen at a Miami home.

They were found Sunday afternoon after a day-long search. U.S. marshals and the Laredo Police Department assisted in locating the child and his mother.

Authorities say Hernandez's custody of the child had been revoked. Burden says charges are pending.
