Orlando announces assistance for those impacted by nightclub shooting

New services and resources are being made available to provide assistance to those affected by the Orlando nightclub shooting.

At 8 a.m. Wednesday, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs discussed the opening of the City of Orlando Family Assistance Center. 

The city said this is a partnership with federal, state, local and community agencies.

The Family Assistance Center will address the immediate needs and provide information, support and resources to those directly affected by the Pulse tragedy.

Services will be available to victims' family members of the deceased, those suffering physical and emotional injuries, nightclub staff and patrons and others directly impacted by the tragedy.

Services available include:

• Consulate Services
• Counseling/spiritual Care
• Crime Victim Services
• Funeral Services
• Ground Transportation
• Health Care Assistance
• Identification Documents
• Language Translation
• Legal Aid
• Lodging
• Medical Examiner
• Senior Services

Of the 53 people wounded in Sunday's attack, six were listed in critical condition Tuesday and five others were in guarded condition.
