(NBC) - A candidate for the chairman of the Libertarian Party made quite a statement before dropping out of the race this weekend.
It happened Sunday at the party's national convention in Orlando.
James Weeks, a self-described "liberty activist," from Michigan suggested every one could "use a little bit of fun."
Weeks then led the convention in clapping and started removing his clothing while dancing.
At first the crowd started hooting, but that changed over to boos and cat calling as Weeks removed everything but his underwear.
Weeks returned to the microphone and told the crowd the whole thing was a dare then said he was dropping out of the race for the chairmanship.
