After investigating a possible abduction, police in Hollywood say they are unable to confirm a kidnapping occurred.
Marked units were called to the 2100 block of Garfield St. around 8:30 a.m.
Police said a witness saw a black Ford F-150 with two Hispanic men force a Hispanic female, about 12 to 17-years-old, into their truck.
She was described as about 5’2” weighing approximately 100 pounds and wearing blue jeans, a black shirt and orange backpack. Police said she has shoulder length curly hair in a ponytail. The pickup was last seen heading north on 22nd Ave.
Police later tweeted that they spent several hours canvassing the area and detectives were unable to confirm an abduction took place. However, they said the case remains an open investigation.
