MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. — Emergency crews are responding to a helicopter crash off the coast of Anna Maria Island.
According to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, the helicopter crashed about a half mile off the shore near the Manatee Public Beach.
The US Coast Guard has recovered three people from the helicopter. They are said to have non-life-threatening injuries.
Helicopter crash in Gulf of Mexico - 1/2 mile off shore. US Coast Guard St. Pete Station has recovered 3 occupants, non-life threatening injuries. Our Marine Unit is on scene. MCSO is assisting USCG. No other information at this time.
