CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Governor Ron DeSantis has named two women to the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court.
He announced the appointments of Michelle Alvarez Barakat and Tanya Brinkley.
“While reviewing the applicants for the Eleventh Circuit, Judges Barakat and Brinkley stood out from the rest,” he said in a statement. “Their extensive legal experience, judicial philosophy of restraint and respect for the rule of law will lead them to serve with distinction.”
Governor DeSantis made the announcement at the University of Miami where both attorneys graduated law school.
