Family and friends gathered Monday to honor Jose Fernandez and his two friends who died a year ago after their boat crashed into a jetty in Miami.
"Missing him every single day. Just absolutely missing him. The only ray of light that we have, is his little daughter, Penelope. And that's the only little ray of light we've had," said Fernandez's mother.
The accident report showed that Miami Marlin's pitcher Jose Fernandez had alcohol and cocaine in his system and was driving the boat at the time of the crash.
