ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- City officials say a woman's car was "intentionally" set on fire and now she's in critical condition at a Florida hospital.
The Orlando Sentinel reports DeLand officials say the 39-year-old was found Sunday evening by firefighters responding to a call about a vehicle on fire in a residential neighborhood.
City of DeLand spokesman Chris Graham says the woman was airlifted to a local hospital for burn treatment. He says, "We believe the fire was started on purpose," and that police were searching for a suspect.
Graham says the woman's car was engulfed in flames that also damaged the exterior of a nearby home before firefighters extinguished it.
No further details were immediately released about the incident.
