COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol on Wednesday seized more than 100 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop on Alligator Alley in Southwest Florida.
Troopers say they pulled over a Toyota Camry for excessive window tint and a move over violation.
A police K-9 named Baca then alerted troopers to 115 pounds of marijuana inside the trunk of the car.
A photo from the @FHPSWFL Twitter account shows multiple bales stacked on a FHP vehicle.
The driver, Owen Onfroy, 49, was arrested and faces charges of felony drug possession and trafficking.
Troopers say the marijuana has a street value of more than $1 million.
Court records show bond was set at $35,500.
