A Florida Starbucks customer said a drink he ordered in St. Augustine came with an insulting note.
The man did not want to be named, but he says his Grande White Mocha came with a label that said “Diabetes Here I Come.”
The beverage contains nearly 500 calories, but the customer says the mean-spirited note only reminded him of his two sisters, both who have Type I diabetes.
For him, it's a nasty reminder of the very real struggle many people have to face.
"Seeing and knowing the struggle my sisters went through by third, fourth grade it definitely struck a nerve and I didn't just want to let it go," the Starbucks customer said.
He said he doesn't need an apology but just doesn't want it to happen to anyone else.
