As many of us continue the clean up around our homes, folks from the Keys are wondering if they have a home to go back to.

At a Mobil gas station in Florida City, cars are sitting at the pumps, not waiting for gas, but waiting for the roads to open up.

Maria Bravo says she isn’t sure she has a home to go back to.

“I don’t expect too much,” she says. “I’m really really scared.”

Franck Suazo says the worst part is not knowing.

“It really makes you on edge a little bit,” he says. “Because you’re hoping to come home to something that was there when you left it, but you just don’t know.

People say they plan on waiting at the gas station or in the neighborhood until the roads open up.

They say deputies tell them it could be days or weeks before certain parts of the Keys are accessible again.
