EDGEWATER, Fla. (AP) — Two parents wanted for disappearing with their 4-month-old daughter against a court order were arrested at a central Florida shopping mall.
The Volusia County Sheriff's Office says Chloe Wall and Elliot Singleton were found on Saturday with their daughter, Skylah Singleton, at an Orlando mall, more than 60 miles from where they had disappeared.
The sheriff's office says the parents had warrants charging them with concealing the location of a child contrary to a court order.
Deputies says Wall was arrested Tuesday on drug possession charges and Singleton also was arrested for resisting arrest without violence.
Child welfare officials conducted an investigation and concluded that Skylah should be taken into custody.
Deputies say the family didn't cooperate, and when the parents were released from jail, they disappeared with Skylah.
