A New York City family booted from a JetBlue flight at Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport is outraged and seeking answers.

Cellphone video showed the altercation between the family of five and a flight attendant on July 2.

Tamir Raanan, Mandy Ifrah and their three young children were headed home to New York after attending a wedding in South Florida.

The family was approached by a JetBlue flight attendant and asked to exit the plane.

The couple says before the altercation their 1-year-old was agitated and kicked the passenger’s seat in front of them.

That passenger and Ifrah exchanged a few words before the passenger moved to an empty seat, the family said. That’s when the flight attendant asked the family to exit the plane.

The couple became angry and repeatedly asked the flight attendant why they were being asked to leave.

A second cellphone video showed the family at the gate repeatedly questioning the same flight attendant.

Broward County deputies were at the gate and asked the couple to calm down and to leave.

Ifrah said the airline told them they would be booked on a flight the next day. The family claimed they didn’t get their luggage until a week later.

They also claimed JetBlue never explained why they were removed from the flight and they said JetBlue banned them from all future flights.

JetBlue has not said much about this incident only telling WTVJ-TV in Miami, “We are looking into this and will get back to you shortly.”

The Raanan family said they have hired attorney David Templer of Templer & Hirsch in Aventura. It’s unclear what legal action the couple plans to take.
