TARPON SPRINGS, Fla.-- Divers with Narcosis Scuba Center in Tarpon Springs, Florida ran into a huge ray while exploring the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico.
Video shows one of them getting close enough to illustrate just how large it is compared to a human.
The divers believe the stingray is about 11 feet long. They say they have never seen one this massive in this area.
According to National Geographic, an average stingray can grow up to six-and-a-half feet.
