DESTIN, Fla. (AP) — A dive team has recovered the body of a tourist who went missing while snorkeling off a Florida Panhandle beach.

Okaloosa County Sheriff's officials said in a news release that the body was recovered Monday morning in Destin's East Pass. The 28-year-old was reported missing Sunday evening after the friends he was snorkeling with did a head count and realized he was missing.

The search for the man was called off Sunday due to poor weather conditions. But the dive team returned early Monday and found the body near a jetty.

The man's name hasn't been released.

Destin is between Pensacola and Panama City Beach on Florida's Gulf Coast.
