FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) -- A Broward Sheriff's deputy and the prisoner he was transporting are recovering from injuries received when their cruiser was hit by another car.
The crash happened early Friday at an intersection in Fort Lauderdale.
In a news release, spokeswoman Gina Carter says the injuries to the two are not thought to be life-threatening.
Carter says a car carrying four people hit the cruiser. Three of those people were treated for minor injuries.
An investigation continues.
