DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — A child who was found dead in Daytona Beach may have been a victim of carbon-monoxide poisoning from a generator, WESH reports.
The 9-year-old's parents and another sibling were hospitalized for treatment of apparent carbon monoxide poisoning, WESH reported.
Investigators told the station that the generator was not running when first responders arrived, but it's possible it had been running and ran out of fuel.
Police said they could smell fumes when they went inside the home.
