A single vehicle crash on the Sawgrass Expressway in Broward County early Wednesday morning killed three and closed down the major road for several hours.
FHP troopers at the scene say a white Mercedes-Benz was traveling southbound east of University Drive when it crossed the grass median and hit a concrete barrier.
All passengers in the vehicle, which include two women and one man, died as a result.
The investigation continues, with both speed and weather being looked at as possible factors.
All southbound lanes were closed for hours following the accident, but were eventually reopened.
