(WESH/NBC NEWSCHANNEL) Florida deputies say the video they have from inside a day care center unnerved even the accused worker that they say is shown harming a small boy.
"You can tell she was upset and disturbed by what she saw on film," said Sgt. Fred Jones of the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
Belinda Greer is accused of pulling a 4-year-old from his chair and letting him sit and cry after he hit his head on the same seat in the Children's House of Learning in Sorrento.
"It appears it was just an impulsive moment that she had," Jones said. "Being a school resource deputy for 10 years, you work with kids, and it takes a certain temperament to work with kids so you've got to make sure you've got the right people in place."
Several people who use the day care's service were surprised to learn about the investigation.
"It's extremely surprising to me! I love the school. And I love the way they treat my grandkids," grandmother Emma Pusey said.
Deputies say Greer has no criminal background, but does face a felony charge of child abuse.
