A 10-month-old baby girl who was in a stolen car was found safe after an Amber Alert was issued in Fort Lauderdale Monday, officials said.

Yareli Velasco had been last seen in the car which was stolen outside a laundromat in the 200 block of W. Sunrise Boulevard.

The car was later found abandoned with Velasco inside in the 900 block of W. McNab Road in Pompano Beach, authorities said.

Police said they responded to the laundromat after they received a 911 call from a woman who said her car was stolen with a young girl inside.

Velasco is about two feet tall, 22 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a blue long-sleeve shirt with a red heart on the middle and pink pants.

The car was a dark green Chevy Cruze with Florida tag BPS7436, police said. The suspect was believed to be a male either 19 or 20 years old.
