POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — A toddler died after a shooting in Pompano Beach, the Broward Sheriff's Office said Saturday afternoon.
Deputies were called to a shooting in a neighborhood near the 500 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at about 1:45 p.m.
The child was airlifted to an area hospital and later pronounced dead.
Detectives were investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting. Representatives with the BSO's Child Protective Investigations Section have also been contacted.
