OAKLAND PARK, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say they are looking for a man who intentionally drove his SUV into a pedestrian in a South Florida parking lot.

A Broward Sheriff's Office news release announced a reward Wednesday for up to $3,000 for information about the driver.

Officials say the attack happened Feb. 23 in Oakland Park.

Security video shows the SUV stop to let the pedestrian walk in front of the vehicle. Before the pedestrian gets completely out of the SUV's path, the driver accelerates and swerves at the person. The victim suffered a broken leg.

The SUV left the area, but investigators say they were able to identify the heavyset man with short brown hair and a beard in security video from inside a nearby grocery store.

Anyone with information should contact detectives at 954-321-4226.
