A central Florida woman says her boyfriend of only three months made her go through hell after he allegedly held her against her will and sexually battered her.

The woman was rescued on Dec. 3 after she was locked in a shed for about a month. Polk County Sheriff's Office arrested her boyfriend, 34-year-old Bertin Ocampo, after deputies discovered the woman in his Haines City home.

According to a police report, Ocampo and the woman had been involved in a relationship for approximately four months.

The victim said during the last month, Ocampo locked her in a shed, which contained only a bed and television, behind the house where he lives with his nephew and nephew's wife. She would remain locked in the room for up to 18 hours, according to a police report.

The woman told deputies the suspect hit her, stabbed her in the leg with a knife and threatened to harm her daughter if she tried to escape.

During her captivity, the woman said she and Ocampo visited her mother's home to see her daughter. She said they also went to other public places together. The woman told detectives she never tried to alert anyone about her captivity because she was afraid of what Ocampo would do to her daughter.

Ocampo also allegedly forced her to have sex with him three or four times in the course of the month.
Deputies discovered the woman in the home on Dec. 3 after someone tipped them off to what was happening at the home.

The victim had bruises around her eyes, legs and arms. The woman had two small scabs on her left which she said were the stab wounds.

Ocampo was charged with false imprisonment, sexual battery, aggravated assault, battery and aggravated battery.
