A Southwest Cape resident was issued a citation for his basketball hoop being too close to the curb.
According to the resident, the basketball hoop in his yard has been in the same spot for more than three years, but city code enforcement says it is not compliant.
It wasn't until two weeks ago the resident received his first notice about the hoop.
The city says if he doesn't make any changes soon, he could face a fine.
According to city code, residents can have a basketball hoop near the street or close to the end of the driveway, however, it must face away from traffic.
