MIAMI — Two baby giraffes made their exhibit debit at Zoo Miami Wednesday morning.
It was their first time being introduced to their exhibit in the African Plains area of the Zoo.
The male giraffe was born on Feb. 13 weighing 123 pounds and he is the first baby born to 4-year-old Zuri.
The female was born on February weighing 161 pounds and she is the sixth baby born to 12-year-old Mia.
They both walked onto the exhibit with their mothers and members of the herd.
The father of the babies, 6-year-old Titan, has left Zoo Miami to join another herd at Bush Gardens in Tampa.
The newborns had been spending time with their mothers to give them time to bond and slowly be introduced to the herd.
The babies have not yet been named.
