Baby found in car with passed-out parents, Miami police say

UPDATE: The Florida Department of Children and Families has placed the baby with the biological father who was not involved in he incident, authorities said. 

EARLIER STORY:

A two-month old baby was found inside a car with her parents passed out in the front seat on Monday.

Miami Police Department says the parents possibly overdosed on heroin.

The baby was found in the car when Miami Fire Rescue responded to the scene of an accident on Northwest 20th Street and 12th Avenue around noon.

The parents were transported to the hospital, while the two-month old was taken to a Miami Fire Station.

No further information was released.
