A Navy satellite was launched into space by an Atlas V rocket Friday morning from Cape Canaveral.
Liftoff occurred at 10:30 a.m.
United Launch Alliance said the satellite will join a network of orbiting satellites and relay ground stations providing secure communications for mobile military forces.
