(NBC) - Three people were injured Sunday night during a dirt track race in Central Florida.
Shortly before 9:30 p.m., two cars collided causing one of the cars to flip several times, clearing the fence that surrounds the track at Volusia Speedway Park.
The three who were struck by the car were in a pit area at the time of the crash.
According to a statement from track officials, all three victims were treated at the scene and transported to an area hospital.
At least one of the victims needed to be airlifted to a local hospital.
As of Monday morning, two of the three victims are still hospitalized, and the third has been released according to officials.
The condition of the two victims still in the hospital has not been released.
