Is your car vulnerable to a hacker?

(NBC NEWSCHANNEL) The FIB and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have issued a bulletin which warns that vehicles are becoming increasingly vulnerable to hacking.

The feds say criminals are accessing both manufacture installed and after-market electronic components that control such things as brakes, transmission and steering.

It urges consumers to be vigilant about installing the latest legitimate security updates.

Last year General Motors, BMW and Fiat Chrysler all took steps to secure hacking vulnerabilities in vehicle components.
