A bomb threat forced the temporary evacuation of Treasure Coast High School Monday morning.
The threat was phoned in just after 11 a.m., according to police.
School grounds were checked and no explosives or suspicious packages were found, according to the school district.
The district released the following statement just before 1 p.m.
Treasure Coast High School’s campus has been carefully searched and no suspicious packages were located. The buildings were cleared as safe for re-entry; therefore, students are in the process of returning to their classes.
We practice safety procedures regularly, and our students’ behavior was admirable, which made it possible for us to do our jobs efficiently, for us to re-enter the building calmly, and for us to resume the teaching and learning at Treasure Coast.
