PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Port St. Lucie police say a man is dead after crashing Saturday morning on the 100 block of Port St. Lucie Boulevard.
According to police, the driver, 57-year-old Roy Gentilquore, was driving east on Port St. Lucie Boulevard at 7:29 a.m. at a high rate of speed and collided with the rear of another vehicle, sending his 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt off the road where it rolled over into a ditch next to the business "Flowers by Susan."
St. Lucie County Fire Rescue transported Gentilquore to St. Lucie Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 8:31 a.m.
The driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Traffic Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation.
