A Port St. Lucie man will have a little extra cash to spend on gifts this holiday season.

The Florida Lottery said Giovanni Sanchez, 27, won $500,000 playing the state’s HOLIDAY GIFTS scratch off game.
He purchased the winning ticket from a Speedway gas station, located at 4287 Northwest Federal Hwy. in Jensen Beach.
A Florida Lottery news release said the scratch off prizes for the game range from $1 to $10 with top prizes between $10,000 to $2 million.
