A man was shot early Sunday morning in Port St. Lucie.
The victim, a 23-year-old man, was dropped off at a hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg, according to police.
The man told investigators that he was involved in an altercation with a man outside of the Hookah Moon Lounge.
The victim claimed the other person punched him in the face and then ran off.
A short time later the victim said he heard someone say, ‘he’s got a gun,’ and that’s when he was shot.
The victim told police he did not know the suspect who was described as a white male with short hair. He was wearing a black bandana, black shirt and dark colored jeans.
