Man arrested in road rage incident in Port St. Lucie

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- A man was arrested for crashing into another vehicle during a road rage incident in Port St. Lucie on Thursday.

On June 6, 2019 at around 10:34 p.m., police were flagged down by the victim at the Valero gas station at SW Savona Blvd. and SW Gatlin Blvd.

The victim told police that while he was on his way to a local hospital, he traveled through the 1500 block of SW Urbino Avenue and exchanged words with the suspect, who got into his car and followed the victim.

Police say the suspect aggresively used his vehicle to tailgate the victim and drive alongside his car in an attempt to get the victim's attention.

As both vehicles reached the intersectino of SW Savona Blvd and SW Dalton Ave., the suspect impacted the suspect's vehicle as he was making a turn onto SW Dalton Ave., causing extensive damage to the rear bumper and front quarter panel.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect, later identified as 29-year-old Mason Trent Gregory, then sped away and returned to the 1500 block of Urbino Avenue, where he was located and arrested on the following charges: Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon, and Criminal Mischief.
