PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — A family was able to safely escape their home early Tuesday after a fire started in the garage, officials said.

The Port St. Lucie Police Department and the St. Lucie County Fire District was called to the fire on Southwest Glen Road.
Officials believe an electric vehicle caught fire in the garage.
